This strip is kind of one of those “grumpy old man” complaints about “kids these days”. But, I gotta say, I’m one of those people! Some progress hurts relationships and that’s what I’m preaching a bit today. And- you kids- GET OFF MY LAWN!

I LOVE this! I often find myself texting my eldest son back and simply going “What am I doing? I’m calling him…”
ALright, another member of the Grumpy Old Man Club!
Tom, I’m so old and grumpy, I told my son that when he turns 18 and moves out, THEN he can get HIMSELF a smartphone. Until then, he can make due with my old flip phone! 😉
I’m not quite in that group because I’m only 18 but I must say my sisters are never off there sodding phones and it drives me crazy. They mither me to watch a film with me and then sit texting and all sorts :L.
Watch a film with them*
Count me in the Grumpy Old Man club, too! And I’m only a few months shy of 35! LOL!( I catch myself complaining about the younger generation and thier attitudes and I even remember 8-track tapes and getting up to change the channels on the T.V. with a knob! :XD:)
This is funny! Even though I’m just in my early 30’s, I still have myself trying to explain to younger kids about how technology has changed things since I was a kid. Anyway, an interesting observation, I was at Steak N Shake a few weeks ago having dinner with my wife and sister-in-law and we saw a young girl come in with who appeared to be her grandpa. The sat down in the booth and ordered a couple of shakes. Then for the rest of the time, the grandpa stared into his book (yes a physical book), and the girl stared into her phone. It was the perfect image of the generational gap. I wish I could’ve snapped a pic!
