Okay, this one happened at our house. We just stopped weighing ourselves some 6- 8 months ago because the scale ran out of batteries. Then we started LIKING not knowing what the damage was. Then we had a reckoning. New batteries were bought. The only difference was we were all naked on the scale (separately, of course, but you don’t want ANY extra ounces). It was a sad day. Diets have ensued in the last weeks because of it and now the scales not such a terrible thing. Still bad though.
On a personal note: I just found out that the National Cartoonist Society Division awards were announced. While I would have LOVED for OUTNUMBERED to have been listed as a nominee for “best online comic”, I sincerely congratulate ALL the nominees! See them here: http://www.reuben.org/2014/03/2013-ncs-divisional-nominees/
AND- I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of my Patrons of Outnumbered over on my Patreon page (see the support button on the top, right). This last week really blew up in a good way and its a blessing. I’m having fun over there doing weekly sketch requests too! Thanks again.

Good Lord, WHAT did Everybody DO?
GAIN an “Ounce”???
THIS is my new favorite OutNumbered strip.
Awwww, that’s good to hear, thanks Stephen!
I can in all honesty say I’ve never owned a scale. My parents used to have one, but I’ve never purchased one in my adult life – nor anyone else that I know of. The closest I get is weighing my dog at the vet.
I’m so glad I found your comic! Love your humor, and loved your Disney work.
I’m glad you did too, Jim! Thanks.
