I hate the word “CREEPY”! I am currently living in the world where I am, DAILY, moving over the fine line from “cool dad” to “creepy dad”. You know, that point in time where you, as dad, get a little older, while simultaneously, your children get old enough to think that things you were into, things you know, listen to, read, watch on TV, or even say- go from cool to creepy. I hate it. In my head, I’m still young enough to comment on how good a certain mid- twenties actress looks in a movie/ad/ magazine article/commercial- but to the rest of my family (and perhaps the world), I sound “creepy”. Hate it. I think its what leads men to buy exotic sport cars at my age. Its an acceptable way to feel young again and at worst, you just look foolish- but not creepy.
