Historically Low Brow

I was worried about this one for a few reasons.  Besides the obvious “low brow-ness” of the gag, I’m not sure if everyone knows what a “poot” is.  It was a new term to me when I married my wife (who is English) so I’m still not sure if the word has an Old European background.  Every family has its own terms for these little “unpleasantries” of life; “poot” is ours.  It does seem a little less crass than some terms.    Do kids know who Vladimir Putin is?  Probably not.   Do the average readers of my strip?  Maybe.    But everyone knows who Vladimir Poot’n is! Well, at least NOW they do.
